Cultural Fit

Do you enjoy structured, independent work and want to actively contribute your ideas rather than just complete tasks? Do you value close collaboration across different interfaces  and a team that supports one another? Then welcome to AND-E.

How you'll make an impact

  • After an initial onboarding period, you will independently document processes using Microsoft Visio to serve as the foundation for an Internal Control System (ICS).
  • You will create written work instructions for new employees based on existing process documentation.
  • You will catalog all existing data controls and their associated documentation on our EU Finance SharePoint site.
  • You will discuss established data controls with the Head of Accounting & Reporting.
  • You will assist with monthly and quarterly closing processes for our EU holding company—for example, by checking accounting entries and verifying account reconciliations (following onboarding). In doing so, you will gain insight into routine accounting workflows.
  • You will assist in recording new or modified business transactions and settlements—such as cost allocations, reinsurance entries, or intercompany transactions—thereby learning how we translate new business scenarios into our accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • You will support various projects, such as setting up accounting functions for new branches or standardizing and automating processes using modern accounting software (Flowers). As a Japanese insurer, we place great importance on digital processes and actively practice the Kaizen principle.
  • You will collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments—such as branch offices, actuarial, legal, and sales—on specific topics. This will allow you to learn how cross-functional tasks are coordinated and executed.
  • You will independently handle routine tasks or take on project responsibilities suited to your skills, in consultation with the team

What it takes to succeed in this role

  • You are currently in the advanced stage of your studies in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field—ideally with a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, and/or insurance.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in project work within a financial services company.
  • You are interested in AI applications, digitalization, automation, and process optimization, and consider yourself digitally savvy.
  • You possess advanced skills in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • You are characterized by a high level of initiative, a structured approach, and reliability.
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written German and English (mandatory).
  • You are an active, communicative team player with a conceptual mindset
